Our services are broken down into three easy categories: The eBook Pack, the Print Pack, and the Plus Pack.

Our standard $100 service includes a custom Kindle-ready cover with licensed fonts and images. We spend extensive time browsing the bestsellers in your category/genre to determine how to blend in with the bestsellers while still achieving a unique and creative look. Included in the eBook Pack is a 2400X2400 ACX audiobook cover.

Our $200 Print Pack includes everything in the eBook Pack plus any print-on-demand file you require to publish your book in print. This includes a full front/back/spine design for KDP paperback and/or hardcover, Ingramspark paperback and/or hardcover, or files compatible with your vendor of choice, including Lulu, Draft2Digital, Lightning Source, Bookbaby, and many others.

How It Works...

Once you purchase one of our design packages, you’ll be asked for 5 simple things to help our design team make the best possible cover for you:

  • Your title, subtitle, and author name exactly as it is to appear on the cover
  • A description of your book or synopsis of your story
  • Any requests or ideas that you have for your design
  • The two primary categories you’re hoping to be competitive in
  • Links to two already-published books you like and think are most similar to yours

For fiction, we also have a separate section where you can give us specific information describing your setting, characters, and other important details that may apply to your cover design. After you submit the form, you will be able to send us images and other things you’d like to share with us via email.

For Print Pack and Plus Pack customers, we’ll worry about what’s on the back cover after you’ve approved the front! We’ll gather information needed to complete your print design when the time is right.

Interior Formatting

Yes, as of February, 2023, 100 Covers offers interior formatting! This service is exclusively available to customers whose book cover is being designed by 100 Covers. We don’t offer it for sale with any of our packages because we want to finalize your book cover first, but once you’ve chosen a final eBook cover, your project manager will allow you to add interior formatting to your order! Turnaround time averages 1-2 weeks from the time we receive your complete, 100%-proofread and final manuscript. Focus on your book cover right now, but know that you’ve got an eager and professional formatting team ready to create a stylish interior to match the cover you love as soon as it’s ready!

We do! Starting in 2023, we now officially offer interior manuscript formatting to go with our book cover design service. Yes of course! Let’s ace that eBook cover first, then worry about the other formats later. You can do that with no penalty or upcharge whatsoever. We’ll email you an invoice for the difference if and when you choose to upgrade later on.

Unless you request the use of A.I. in your book cover design, we will NOT use any A.I. tools or images in your design whatsoever. To allow your designer to use A.I. in your design, there is a box on our form that you can tick as you are submitting your order. This is best for covers that require very complex custom illustration or depict very specific supernatural or fantastical elements not easily found via stock photography. For the vast majority of book cover designs, A.I. is still not necessary or preferable. But rest assured, you can opt out of the use of A.I. in your design. Even if you do choose to allow your designer to use it, a REAL HUMAN is still going to be designing the cover, just with the use of some A.I. tools and images to be able to do things that would otherwise be nearly impossible to achieve.

We offer truly UNLIMITED revisions at no additional cost. We’ll do as many revisions as it takes, stopping at NOTHING to get you a competitive cover that you absolutely LOVE!

It depends on the designer, and it depends on how clear that designer’s vision is for your cover. About half our authors receive only one version, and that is sufficient to produce a competitive cover the customer loves.

It typically takes 7-14 days for you to receive a first look at your eBook cover. From there, the revision process can take an additional week or two depending on how extensive your revision requests are. Once the eBook cover is finalized, all other images are typically produced in just 2-3 business days after you’ve provided the print details for your book. If you NEED (not want) it sooner, just let us know and we’ll get that first look back in just 2-3 business days with no extra charges for rushed delivery.

Sure! We’ll take all the help we can get! While our form doesn’t enable images to be sent, you’ll have the opportunity to do that once your order has been received and you begin email communication with the manager assigned to your project.

Yes, but then we’ll have to KILL you! Haha. In all seriousness, if the identities of the designers were revealed, authors would quickly begin contacting those designers directly and cutting 100 Covers out of the deal! You may not be able to communicate directly with your designer, but you’ll be able to send whatever you need to communicate what you’d like in your design. Our process works, and it works EVERY TIME!

Yes of course! All of our images come from Shutterstock, where we have a massive subscription (that costs $7,800/year! Ouch!). They all have a standard license for commercial use. If you are curious as to the extent that you can use these images, visit their website and check it out. It’s also possible, if you hope to sell physical merch with your book cover on it or your book blows up huge and sells hundreds of thousands of physical copies (exceeding the limitations of the standard license on images) to upgrade to an enhanced license.

Our fonts come from a wider variety of sources, but all are licensed for commercial use.

For anything we illustrate ourselves, that’s yours to use freely as if YOU drew it.

No matter what, know that we’ve got you fully covered when it comes to any issues you may encounter with the use of your book cover and whatever is on that book cover. As the designer of your book cover, 100 Covers bears 100% of the legal responsibility for any issues you may encounter. No legal issues whatsoever with over 18,000 book covers designed, knock on wood!

As for who “owns” the cover or the copyright and such, know that there are generally no copyrights or ownership on book covers, so you are free to use what we produce however you like with no limitations whatsoever, and no bogeyman is coming after you asking for a share of your royalties or anything weird. We even hand out the layered PSD files that you can edit yourself or pass along to a different designer to do as you see fit with it when your design is complete, and we do so at no additional charge. All you have to do is ask for them at the end!
